Updated at November 14th, 2024

Prerequisites

You must have access to the partner portal and the Partner Tools Portal. Please contact the partner team to request access. When logged in to the partner portal, you can immediately see if you have access, as you will see the Partner Tools Menu Icon. This article is available externally through this link: https://iplogin.in/trackingcode.

Asset & External Website tracking

Users may add a tracking code to their website. This tracking code allows anonymous and known visitors to be reported to the tracked website. Known visitors are all those contacts who have opened an email sent by users using the system. All assets in the system can be similarly tracked as they are also sent as links by users via emails or social media.

Who would use this?

Users who want to view visits to a webpage to view web leads.

Click on My Database > External Sites.

Click “Create.”

The Track Sites panel will open. Enter the URL you would like to track and select it from the checkbox items to classify the link. Click "Save."

The Partner Tool generates and displays a tracking code; click "Copy."

Copy and paste your finished code between your website's tags. If your website is PHP-based, paste the code into your footer.php file.

If you need to copy the code again later, click "Database > External Sites." The Tracking Sites Chart & Stats page will load.

  1. Select the site address to load the Tracking Site Report.
  2. Select "Tracking Code" and the Track Sites Panel open to enable you to copy the code again.
What stats will my Tracking Code enable me to see?
  1. The contacts that have visited your website
  2. The pages that your contacts have visited on your website
  3. Anonymous visits to your website of contacts that are not in your contact list yet, including their domain and location, depending on their security settings.

How Do I Install The Tracking Code Into My Website?

You will need:
  1. Your Webmaster (if necessary)
  2. Access to your website's HTML or the footer HTML in your CMS.

Why Do I Need A Tracking Code?
The generated tracking code is an important part of the system. It allows Partner Tools to tell you who is visiting your company website. The tracking codes will also tell you where your visitors live, what pages they visit, how long they spend on your website's pages, and how they found your website.

How Do I Install A Tracking Code?
Forward the tracking code file that you copied in the previous step to your webmaster. Your Webmaster can copy and paste the tracking code directly into your website's HTML.

The JavaScript must be inserted on every page of your website in between the <head> tags. If you have a PHP-based site, they can install the tracking code between the <head></head> tags in your footer.php or header.php file. The tracking code will not affect the appearance of your website. Our support team will be able to tell you if your tracking code is installed correctly.
