Manage SMS DID (Unassign, Delete and Update SMS DIDs)
Prerequisite
Reseller or Enterprise Admin access Required.
This article provides steps to Unassign, Delete and Update Carriers for SMS DIDs.
Unassign SMS DIDs
This can be done by the Reseller or the Enterprise Admin.
1. Navigate to "Users"
2. From the "Manage Users" page, select the user for whom you wish to unassign the DID, then click "Manage SMS" from the actions menu.
3. Uncheck the box for "Enable SMS Service," highlight the DID from the "Assigned DIDs" box, click the blue arrow and then submit.
The removal of the Team dedicated to the SMS Number must be executed by the Global Admin as a "Sync SMS App" to take effect for the user.
Delete SMS DIDs
Note: This option is only available for the Mater Reseller or Reseller Admin.
Ensure that the following actions are complete before deleting the Phone Number.
- Follow the step above to unassign the Phone number from the user.
- Complete the Sync for the SMS App.
- Follow the steps in the Delete Phone Number section of this Knowledge base article, Centralized DID Management.
Update Carriers
Note: This can be done by the Master Reseller or the Reseller.
1. Ensure that the DID is not assigned to any user.
2. Delete the Phone Number by following the steps in this knowledge base article, Centralized DID Management, in the Delete Phone Number section.
3. Upload the Phone Number again with the correct carrier information by following the steps in this knowledge base article, Centralized DID Management, in the Upload Phone Number section.
