Microsoft Teams Phone Connector Configuration Steps

Scope

This article outlines how to configure Microsoft Teams Phone Connector so clients can use Microsoft Teams with their phones.

 

Requirements

  • Reseller access to the Microsoft Teams Phone Enterprise Provisioning Portal
  • Global admin access to Microsoft Admin Center
  • Reseller access to the Manager Portal

Prerequisites for Configuring Microsoft Teams Phone Connector

End users will want to ensure that the following prerequisites are met before opening a request to configure Teams Integration. 

  1. Add Microsoft Teams Phone to Trust Traffic List
  2. Delete Previous Direct Routing
  3. Verify All Users Have Supported Microsoft Licenses

Configuring Microsoft Teams Phone Connector

Configuring Microsoft Teams Phone Connector requires the provider and the client to do so. The steps that should be followed in order are below. 

  1. The Provider will Add the Client to Microsoft Teams Phone Connector and then notify the client that an invite to Microsoft Teams Phone Connector has been sent.
  2. The client will then Set Up direct routing and notify the provider once it is configured.
  3. The Provider will Configure PBX Settings and Set up Users on Microsoft Teams Phone Connector and notify the client that Microsoft Teams Phone Connector is ready for use.
  4. (Optional) Once Microsoft Teams Phone Connector is ready for use, the client may Build Microsoft Teams Phone Connector Application for Teams to extend portal functionality to their Teams app. Contact support for additional details.
