SRTP Audio Encryption Support

Updated at September 4th, 2024

Added functionality that allows for encrypted RTP audio communications between SIP devices, known as SRTP (RFC-3711). SRTP works with the TLS protocol for SIP traffic to secure all communications to and from the phones. ZRTP (RFC-6189) is not supported.

Enabling TLS AND SRTP

Enable SRTP

Support must enable SRTP at this time. Please contact support and request SRTP to be enabled including the domain name.

Enable TLS from the Portal

The TLS transport protocol may be enabled by either editing the Phone Hardware from the Inventory or changing the Transport Method within the Button Builder from the Additional phone settings.
